A lining is rarely seen – but always felt. That is why we give it the same care as the outer cloth: 15 hand-selected designs, made from three qualities that all have their roots in nature.
No. 1 – 6
The finest natural animal fibre, drawn from the cocoons of the mulberry silkworm. Our solid lining fabrics in 100 % pure silk (a feather-light 60 g/m²) are mill-washed, which gives the cloth an especially cool, soft hand and a refined matte depth. Silk insulates against heat and cold, absorbs moisture and rests feather-light on the skin – cool in summer, warm in winter.
No. 7 – 11
A cellulose fibre made from natural plant-based raw materials. Viscose (110 g/m²) gives our paisley linings their soft hand, supple drape and exceptional luminosity of colour – a cool, flowing lining with the look of silk, on a plant basis.
No. 12 – 15
Acetate, the classic “artificial silk”, is likewise made from a cellulose compound – so it, too, has a natural basis. Combined with viscose it yields our jacquard-woven Mondo designs: light (110 g/m²), quick-drying, crease-resistant, antistatic, with a silky sheen – the most resilient choice for robes in daily use.
